SteamCraft Brewery
I have been commissioned to design the visual basics for a small brewery in Pécs (Hungary) called SteamCraft. The owners concept brewing craft beer with traditional knowledge but feeling present and according to today's tastes. They established the brewery in this year and they needed as well a visual concept which reflect good enough their vision and they can enter to the public market.
I made a typographical experiment according to the concept and I looked what will happen when the traditional and geometrical blackletter meets with curved and vigorous modern swash.
All the visual is based on this duality as well as the labels.
When I designed the labels I used at the same time the old and traditional detailed wood cutted vintage style with graphical elements of metallic effect from the 60's. This duality constitutes the special unique and custom atmosphere that called just SteamCraft Brewery. It's just as traditional as a classic beer and fresh as a soft drink.
The brewery located next to the local power plant that was the reason why it's draw housed in the coat of arms on the beer labels. Another local attraction is also on the label the famous mountain called Mecsek with TV tower because the building of brewery is located there, where it is the view the same thereby the back of the label determine the identity and serves as a guide for visitors.
